How long have you been outsourcing your digital marketing?
Rosalie: “We began outsourcing our SEO in 2014. We began outsourcing certain areas within our digital marketing over time depending on where certain developments were and what expertise we had internally. We landed on Clearwater Agency for all of our SEO and Conversion Rate needs and have never looked back.”
How did you first find out about Clearwater Agency?

Is it scary getting someone to do SEO for you?
Rosalie: “No not at all, SEO is such a complex area in digital marketing so it’s great to have experts to go to for assistance with this. It’s also been great for our internal team to help build our own knowledge of SEO and what can implicate results such as web design, meta titles, content, etc. We find comfort in knowing that we have experts taking care of these campaigns for us that can provide guidance and advice on where we can improve and if we’re ever unsure of anything, we can always pick up the phone and ask.
The other reason we aren’t phased by an agency running our SEO is that we have a large number of locations we operate in and a lot of members of Hotondo Homes to look after, so having the freedom to focus on businesses processes and not on the digital marketing tools means we can be more productive day to day, which is a really big bonus for us.”
What are some of the advantages you have found using a digital marketing agency?
Rosalie: “The obvious advantage is improved results, which is what anyone would expect when outsourcing a particular area to an external party, but this isn’t always the case. I have had experience with a few agencies now and a lot of them talk the talk, but can never deliver on what they’ve promised on and this is always a struggle. After using Clearwater Agency, we saw a big spike in rankings and this directly improved our organic traffic which was communicated effectively to us as a business.

“Digital marketing is evolving faster than anyone can keep up with. It’s now a fundamental function of any marketing strategy whether you’re a start-up business or major global enterprise. But it’s not something you can just set and forget. Work with your agency to build your own understanding of digital marketing, whatever element it may be in, and then you can truly work together to improve your brand’s performance.
