Landing pages often require a team of writers, designers and techs to create something outstanding. And this, of course, costs a fair bit of money. But if you haven’t got the budget to pay an agency hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on a single landing page, you will be happy to hear that you can now create an eye-catching landing page for free.  There are some big named land page builders out there on the market, many with free trials that we haven’t listed them below as we don’t consider them truly free.

Below are the best free landing page builders in 2020.

mailerlight template1. MailerLite

There’s an outstanding benefit to using email marketing software to create your landing pages. After all, having all your landing pages, contacts and email campaigns in the one location definitely makes things much easier to manage.

MailerLite is an email marketing tool that is simple to use. Thankfully, it provides a free package, which includes an unlimited number of landing pages and up to 1,000 subscribers. It also offers users 12,000 emails per month.

Why it’s great: MailerLite’s landing page editor is both easy to use and flexible – you can simply adjust your design by dragging and dropping content blocks wherever you so desire. Form fields can be edited with ease, and form submissions go directly into whichever list you choose.

Social sharing buttons are an included feature, as are options for SEO, such as whether or not you would like your landing page to be indexed. Furthermore, you can utilise some great automations for new contacts, including welcome and drip email campaigns.

How they can improve: With MailerLite’s free package, you receive more templates for landing pages than for actual emails. There aren’t any email templates included, and this means you will have to create your own, but you can do this through the builder’s visual editor. You also receive a generic domain to host your page, although this is standard with most free packages.

Who should use it? Both beginners and marketing veterans alike. MailerLite provides one of the best free landing page builder tools, with plenty of flexibility, handy options for marketing automations and nice templates.

mail chimp template2. MailChimp

It should come as no surprise that the world’s most utilised email marketing software also allows you to build landing pages. These are available through MailChimp’s “Free Forever” package, which allows you to send 10,000 emails per month with up to 2,000 subscribers.

Why it’s great: Like MailerLite, MailChimp’s landing page editor is a breeze to use, with plenty of customisation options. You’re able to add tracking for Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or MailChimp’s own tracking tool. You can also trigger automations, although their automation editor isn’t its most user-friendly feature.

How they can improve: MailChimp doesn’t offer many templates to choose from, although the designs are of a good quality. There are also fewer options for editing form settings than there are with MailerLite, and you’re unable to customise your thank you/confirmation page. Your URL will also be on a MailChimp domain, but you can choose your own for an annual fee.

Who should use it? If you are looking for an email marketing service with an inbuilt landing page creator, but find MailerLite’s 1,000 subscriber limit too restricting, MailChimp is the way to go.

omni send template3. Omnisend

Although not as well known as MailChimp, this eCommerce-centric email marketing provider still offers a free landing page builder. Its free package allows for up to three landing pages, 15,000 emails per month, as well as unlimited subscribers. It’s fair to say Omnisend has earned its place on this list.

Why it’s great: Omnisend pages look great, with modern, minimalist designs. However, they do look quite simple and probably aren’t ideal if you want to fit heaps of content on the page.

How they can improve: It is difficult to customise the layout and design, with the exception being background editing. You can’t add extra form fields, either, and can only use email address. Automations are not included in the free package.

Who should use it? Omnisend shouldn’t be used solely to build landing pages. Instead, it should be utilised by online store owners who would benefit from email marketing features like sales reports and discount codes. However, the free package’s three-page maximum is rather limiting. At some stage, you’d probably want to consider an upgrade.

Conclusion

Luckily, in 2020, creating quality landing pages doesn’t have to take a large chunk out of our marketing budget. With free landing page builders like the above-listed, you can create something that converts users into valuable leads without the hefty price tag.
